A mosaic of landscapes
A magical atmospshere created by a great variety of landscapes surrounds the municipality of Farrera and turns into its distinctive sign. Vast pine, oak, holm oak and fir forests and precipices establish a beautiful combination. This area has scarcely 100 citizens spread out among the six villages that managed to preserve the peaceful mountain lifestyle.
There is a valuable livestocking heritage created by a great quantity of old huts spread across the valleys, where the unique Lake Burg lies. Many endangered species, such as the emblematic capercaillie or the fleeting wild cat, are sheltered among every spot in this colourful valley that might last with each one visiting it.
