La Guingueta, picture-postcard images
The slender and pointed bell towers of the Romanesque churches stand out amid the mountains that host the 14 little villages that form the municipality of La Guingueta d’Àneu. Escalarre Swamp, which belongs to Alt Pirineu Natural Park, is an oasis of peace and tranquillity. Its crystal clear waters reflect the surrounding mountains just like a mirror and show you the fish swimming around. Many migratory birds stop over at the banks of this spectacular Pyrenean wetlands before going on with their trip.
